Purolater Hie 40H Pleated Filters create a safer breathing environment with their advanced construction design. A medium efficiency pleated filter, it is specially constructed for use in systems involving elevated operating temperatures. Such an environment can leave workers vulnerable to heated airborne particles simply by breathing. 

Solidly built, the perimeter frame of the hi-E 40H is constructed from 24 gauge aluminized steel. This rugged structure insures the filter remains intact and ready for action. The pleated element is supported downstream by a 24 gauge expanded aluminized steel face guard. This insures the stability of the media pak when operating at elevated temperatures.


 Equally important, if not even more important, is the filter media where the job of a filter is done. In this case, the filter media is 1/4" thick, high density ultra fine fiberglass reinforced by a woven fiberglass mesh. Particles are captured and held where they cannot escape into the atmosphere and breathed in by workers.

The Hi-E 40H is constructed to operate at 400 degrees F continuously. However, it may be subjected to temperatures up to 450 degrees F for short durations of not more than 10 minutes. Any longer exposure places the filter media's construction and effectiveness to the risk of being compromised.

Most applications for the Hi-E 40H are served by the two sizes. This filter is offered in 2 inch and 4 inch widths and comes with these features:
